:: Scanning Installation Procedure for Multifunctionals Kyocera Lease Returns Machines

     :: PC Side:
       
Follow these procedures in order to install Scan to PC Option:

  1. In a web browser go to the Downloads section of our website, locate the Scanner File Utility for the appropriate copier model and download it to your computer.
  2. Run the downloaded file.
  3. Choose the appropriate language:

 

  1. Click Next on the next screen:

 

  1. Choose Destination Location or just click Next to accept the default:

 

  1. If installing on a Windows 9x/Me machine skip over to Step 9.

On Windows 2000 or Windows XP Choose Install in Service mode:

     

  1. Select Optional Components:

  

  1. Select Program Folder or click Next to accept the default:

 

  1. Click Finish to Close the Wizard.
  2. Click Start → Programs → Scanner User Software → Scanner File Utility
  1. In the Task bar by the System Clock double click on this icon

  1. Click the Setup Button, then click New

 

  1. Enter User No (ex. 001, 002..) and Select the Folder for the user files to be saved at:

  1. Click OK.
  2. If asked to Create a new folder Click OK
  3. Click OK to close the Setup Dialog Box
  4. Click OK to close the Scanner File Utility
  5. For Windows 2000 and Windows XP Right Click on the icon  and choose Start. The icon should then change to .

NOTE: For Windows 9x/Me skip Step 20.

     :: Copier Side:

  1. Turn the machine on.
  2. Make sure all the network cables are plugged into the machine.
  3. Allow the machine to fully warm up and initialize all the options (approximately 2 min)
  4. Press the Default key:

  1. Touch the Scanner Default:

  1. Use the numeric keypad to enter the security password (usually the four digit model number of the machine – 2530, 3035 ...)

  1. If required perform Steps 4-6 to get to the Scanner Settings Menu.
  2. From Scanner Settings Menu push the User Registr. Button.

  1. Using ^¡ keys select the User (ex 001,002…..) and touch Change User Info button.

  1. In the Edit User Info Menu using ^¡ keys select the parameter to be changed and touch the Change # button.

       The mandatory parameters are:

    • E-mail Address (Only needed if you intend to use Scan to Email feature)
    • IP Address or Host Name – The Name of the computer which is running the Scanner File Utility (refer to Appendix A if you don’t know how to look up the Computer Name).
    • Name to Display – Name that’s going to appear on screen when choosing the user.
    • Save Folder Number – This number has to match the folder No set in Scanner File Utility for this user.
